Support

Talk to a person who knows the product.

FWING ELD is built and supported by the same small company that makes it. When you call or write, you reach us — not a call center reading a script.

Reach us

Call us first: (708) 310-9897

Most carriers would rather talk than type — so call. You reach the same small company that builds FWING ELD, not a call center. If we miss you, leave a message and we will call you back.

Writing instead? An email gets you a useful answer fast when it includes:

  • Your company name, and whether you drive solo or run a fleet.
  • The truck the question is about, and the phone or tablet you run the app on.
  • What happened, in your own words — and what the screen said, if it said anything.

If your ELD stops working

A malfunction is not a crisis. Here is the drill.

The federal rules expect devices to fail sometimes, and they say exactly what happens next. The app will show a warning light when something the rules care about stops working, and the event goes into your record on its own.

  1. Note it, and tell your carrier

Let your carrier know about the malfunction as soon as you can, and note it on your record for the day. The app stamps the warning into your log by itself; your note says what you saw.

  2. Keep paper logs

From that point, keep your hours on paper log sheets, the way drivers did for decades. That is why a supply of blank paper logs belongs in every truck — your carrier keeps them available, and the app's records up to the failure are still safe inside it.

  3. The 8-day window

Your carrier has 8 days to repair or replace the device. You run on paper during those 8 days, and when the ELD is back, the paper days stay part of your record history. If a repair genuinely needs more time, the rules give the carrier a way to ask FMCSA for more — that is an office job, not a roadside worry.

One more thing worth knowing: a warning about your data — a missed position fix, for example — is not the same as the device failing. The app shows the two lights separately, and the second kind usually clears on its own when the truck rolls back into open sky.

The user manual

The full manual comes with the ELD.

Every FWING ELD comes with its user manual — how to run the app, read the clocks, handle a roadside inspection, and deal with a malfunction — written the way this page is written: plain words, in the order you need them. A copy of the manual will also live on this page for anyone in your company to read.
